During Milan Design Week 2025, the renowned Galleria Rossana Orlandi hosted RoCollectible 2025, a curated exhibition celebrating the fusion of materiality, memory, and beauty. Among the standout presentations was the luminous sculpture Solomon Chopsticks by the Italo-Brazilian artistic duo Fiedler O Mastrangelo.

Fiedler O Mastrangelo: Merging Tradition with Innovation
Artists Giulia Mastrangelo and Nicolas Fiedler, collectively known as Fiedler O Mastrangelo, unveiled Solomon Chopsticks, a chandelier composed of 21 unique Murano glass elements. Each piece was handcrafted using the lost-wax technique—a method traditionally reserved for bronze casting—at the historic furnace of Giorgio Giuman. This intricate process, mastered by only a select few Murano artisans, allowed the duo to explore dynamic compositions featuring variations in width and angles, resulting in a bold and intricate structure.
The sculpture's design draws inspiration from two symbols: chopsticks, representing dexterity and the nourishment derived from creative acts, and the Solomon's Knot, an ancient emblem signifying eternity and interconnectedness. This fusion embodies humanity's capacity to sustain itself through continuous creativity and skill.
From Venice to Milan: A Journey of Artistic Recognition
Prior to its presentation at RoCollectible 2025, Solomon Chopsticks was featured in the Murano Illumina il Mondo 2024/2025 exhibition in Venice's Piazza San Marco. This prestigious event showcased reinterpretations of chandeliers by eleven internationally acclaimed artists and architects, including Philippe Starck, Kengo Kuma, and Joseph Kosuth. Fiedler O Mastrangelo were the youngest participants, marking a significant milestone in their burgeoning careers.
RoCollectible 2025: A Celebration of Contemporary Design
Curated by Rossana Orlandi and her daughter Nicoletta Brugnoni, RoCollectible 2025 featured over 90 designers, offering a panoramic view of contemporary design through material exploration and aesthetic innovation. The exhibition was described as "a journey between matter, memory, and beauty," highlighting the dynamic dialogue between past traditions and future possibilities in design.
Solomon Chopsticks stands as a testament to Fiedler O Mastrangelo's commitment to blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary artistic expression, solidifying their place in the evolving landscape of collectible design.
